Rationalism vs. Faith
The three religions mentioned in the book life of pi are Christianity, Islam, and Hindu. Pi believes that he is faithful to all three religions. If I were to believes the events that happen in Life of Pi as a rationalist point of view, then the events that just happened wouldn't be very believable. A faithful person would believe this book as offending because a faithful person only believes in one religion and has to stick to it. As I read the book, I read it as a secular point of view because I want look at all the religions that pi talks about. I think Pi looks at all the religions as a secular point of view because a faithful person would only believe in one religion.
