Anthropomorphism in Life of Pi

Anthropomorphism is one of the many themes in Life of Pi. It a major theme not in just the book but in real life too. In the book they base it on how the animals feel by going to different zoos and what they are "supposably" thinking. In real life anthropomorphism happens everyday, every second because many people own pets, so they think of them as a part of the family and that the pet loves them. But in reality the pet is just there for food and a home (as said in class), they cannot have sentimental attachments to humans, they function of pure instinct.
