Reel Canada

  It doesn't take a lot of brains to figure out what the main purpose of Reel Canada is. Reel Canada is an organization whose purpose is to show Canadian movies. In cinemas, USA movies are always being shown. Reel Canada provides Canadians with Canadian movies that provide viewers with a supposed sense of Canadian culture.

  Honestly, though, I feel that Reel Canada is currently getting nowhere. In my opinion, Canadian movies aren't interesting. They have low budgets and their plots are too plain. Not only that, but most Canadian movies from Reel Canada seems to be from the early 2000's, there are no recent films. The only redeeming feature in Reel Canada films is the familiar Canadian scenery, which is actually kinda nice. But if Reel Canada wants me to watch more Canadian films, then they'll have to screen some quality Canadian films. Something that has a wide budget and an award-worthy plot.

  If there are good Canadian films for me to watch, then I'd watch if for sure. So I feel that if Reel Canada can somehow screen more exciting films that cater to the audiences' needs, then they will definetly succeed in getting people to watch more Canadian films, and then the organization will finally be able to carry out its promise to provide viewers with quality Canadian films (emphasis on the quality).
