Article One

This article is about the difference in graduation rates of male and female athletes against the entire student population.

Something that interested me was the fact that more athletes seem to get a degree and/or graduate than normal students.

This article relates to my topic by showing the graduation rates of athletes and how it declines or raises.

Article Two

This article is about the difference in graduation rates of male athletes against female athletes.

Something that interested me was that male athletes have a lower graduation rate than female athletes.

This article relates to my topic by showing a positive relationship between sports and academics.

Article Three

This article is about the schools with failing athletes. The schools have not been keeping up on making sure that their athletes graduate, so their graduation rates have been falling steadily.

Something that interested me was that male athletes still had the worst graduation rate of all athletes, which may say something about their skills of juggling school life and academic work with sports and extracurricular activities.

This article relates to my topic by showing how and why the graduation rates of athletes are falling at certain schools (and what to do to raise it again).

Article Four

This article is about how the graduation rates of male and female athletes have been raising over the past few years in general.

Something that interested me was that even though both female and male athletes’ graduation rates have been rising, female athletes still hold the lead. Also, it interested me that football players overall seem to have a lower graduation rate than any other sport.

This article relates to my topic by showing the graduation rates of athletes and which sports seem to have the lowest rates.

Article Five

This article again is about the graduation rates of female athletes against male athletes.

Something that interested me is that even though male athletes play harder and usually have less practices (so they spend less time on sports) they still have a lower graduation rate than female athletes.

This article relates to my topic by showing the difference between graduation rates of normal students against all athletes, and also male athletes against female athletes.
