The Life Of Pi: Reflection

In "The Book Club" Yann Martel explain the theme of the story. He tells us the story of a character named pi that has very different experiences than most people. He decides to learn and become faithful to some of the world most common. Christianity, Muslim and Hinduism...
Also Pi's story of his family and there business. His family decides to move to Canada and sells there animals from there zoo to other zoo's in America. While they sail to America. They boat sinks and Pi is trapped on a lifeboat with 4 animals. One of the animals being a dangerous Bengali tiger. After a few days they tiger and Pi are the only living things on the boat. Pi's has to survive countless days on the life boat with the tiger. When Pi makes it to shore. Authorities meet him there to investigate the scene. Pi tells them what happened with the boat and how he was stuck on a lifeboat with the animals. They authorities did not believe him so he had to substitute the animals with people to make the authorities believe him. I believe this show's that people don’t easily believe the unknown or the strange.
