Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation commonly known as CBC and officially as CBC/Radio-Canada, is a Canadian crown corporation that serves as the national public radio and television broadcaster. The CBC news/tv/podcast/video and etc. is used for many things as stated. CBC is very helpful to many people it allowed people in Canada to watch many shows, learn new things, watch many videos as well as hear what going on in Canada (news).
History
In 1929, the Aird Commissionon public broadcasting recommended the creation of a national radio broadcast network. A major concern was the growing influence of American radio broadcasting as U.S.-based networks began to expand into Canada. Meanwhile, Canadian National Railways was making a radio network to keep its passengers entertained and give it an advantage over its rival, CP.
